CPY was engaged to lighten up a multi-use lobby for a residential tower in Dallas. The lobby beyond being used by residents to enter the tower is also a waiting area for guests and ride-shares and houses mailboxes and package pick up. The small space also has doors on every elevation requiring a open floor plan to best manage traffic flow. Although the ceilings are high, exposed piping and conduits added to the noise and visual clutter. CPY guided the clients through furniture and material selections and helped set a color scheme that incorporated the existing flooring and aluminum finishes that weren’t in budget to replace. We also suggested a ceiling feature made of baffles to shield the pipes and dampen the noises. New lighting and wall coverings with a metallic accent wall brighten the space and create a cozy area for seating.
